BEHAVIOUR

YOUR WAY

Improve the behaviour in your classroom using a proven step-by-step online course all while removing workload.

So, you’ve had enough of poor behaviour disrupting your lessons? I bet you are not where you thought you’d be in teaching! You’ve feel you’ve tried everything and don’t know how it will get any better.

I know where you are and I know how you feel. The good news is – you’ve come to the right place.

I bet you relate to some or all of the below…

You’ve asked colleagues for help only to get useless advice or judgement?
You’ve joined forums to help only to find that responses to post it always about how amazing the poster is with behaviour in their practice?

You’ve been on courses where you return to school super energised and raring to go only to have the same problems return to your classroom very quickly?

You’ve bought books and tried adopting some of the strategies but found these piecemeal approaches wear out quick and your lessons are back to where they were before, disrupted by a few (or a lot of) disruptive students?

You’ve emulated a whole manner of teacher personalities from the ‘drill sergeant’ through to the ‘cool teacher’, but the students have smelled inconsistency a mile off and nothing changed and you’ve given up?

It is my hope that you did feel you could ask some help and not remained silent struggling on your own? Sadly a great many teachers don’t feel they can ask for help as it is seen a sign of weakness. This, of course, is nonsense, and that is why I set up Behaviour Your Way

The good news is that you are here now and looking to take action to improve the behaviour in your classroom and, in turn, make your life not only easier, but happier too.

About Arran

Behaviour Your Way was designed by Arran who has over twenty years experience teaching in a range of educations settings from high performing mainstream schools to Pupil Referral Units Arran has worked with some of the hardest to reach students and some of the highest achieving.

Managing behaviour in a classroom is challenging and there is little to no training on how to do it effectively so, as new teachers, we are left to figure it out by ourselves. ‘Learning on the job’ is very much the prevailing attitude. Teachers take pride in the fact that they can control a class that someone else can’t; it’s seen as a badge of honour by many. Many of the teachers that we aspire to be like in the classroom aren’t even aware of how and why they can control the more challenging classes.

Let’s be honest, we’ve all tried to emulate other teachers styles – from the drill sergeant to the sage, the cool teacher to the cold-as-ice-teacher. How long did these ‘characters’ really last? Not long, the students sniff out BS and you can’t stay consistent with that character.

Through many years helping to support teachers to improve behaviour management techniques Arran researched and observed and deep dived into what makes positive behaviour management in lessons and boiled it down to the eight key areas taught in Behaviour Your Way.

Behaviour Your Way has supported hundreds of teachers to improve the behaviour in their classroom. There are no ‘pillars’ or ‘5 principles’ or any acronyms to remember but just actionable steps to be practiced in small steps. Behaviour Your Way will not change your character or style in the classroom but instead will create authentic and genuine relationships with your students based on your own style.
